You can't host a party or picnic without dip. Get your parties rolling with this crab dip recipe.
This crab dip only takes a few minutes to prepare and then can be stored in the refrigerator until you're ready to serve it.
Don't forget to serve your veggies with it (we recommend the 3 "C's" - carrots, cucumbers and celery) but you can add whatever you like or even serve with pita bread.
Prep 15 min. Chill at least 1 hour
2 (6 oz.) cans crabmeat, drained
1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
1 cup sour cream
1/4 cup mayo or miracle whip
3 Tbsp. lemon juice
6 scallions, finely chopped (white & pale green areas only)
2 garlic cloves, chopped
3/4 tsp. cayenne
Makes about 8 servings
Healthy substitutes: Make with reduced-fat cream cheese, and Light mayo or miracle whip.
Combine all ingredients except crabmeat in a large bowl. Mix well.
Gently stir in crab meat; season as desired.
Chill at least 1 hour before serving. Dip can be prepared a day in advance, if desired.
Serve with veggies or pita bread.
