Young or old, who doesn't like a good grilled cheese recipe?
The basic grilled cheese sandwiches rules still apply but with a twist for this recipe.
We add parmesan cheese to make it a crispy grilled cheese sandwich. Yum!
These make a great sandwich appetizer for kid and adult parties or just a great snack any time!
Prep 10 min. Total 25 min.
Ingredients:
8 slices of white bread
8 slices of cheese
8 tsp. soft butter or margarine
4 tsp. grated Parmesan cheese
Makes 12 servings, 2 triangle wedges each
Healthy substitutes: Make with wheat or whole grain bread, low-fat cheese and reduced fat butter or margarine
Directions:
Heat oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
Fill bread slices with cheese to make 4 sandwiches.
Spread outside of sandwiches with butter/margarine; place on baking sheet.
Bake 8 min.; sprinkle with half the parmesan cheese. Flip sandwiches and sprinkle with remaining parmesan. Bake 6 to 8 min. or until golden brown.
Cut each sandwich in 8 triangle wedges.
